Auf der berühmten Plantage Volcan Azul in Costa Rica hat der Produzent Alejo moderne Fermentationsmethoden eingeführt, um einen außergewöhnlichen Geschmack zu erzielen. Zum ersten Mal überhaupt freuen wir uns, die Varietät H1 vorstellen zu können. Dieser unter „warmen anaeroben” Bedingungen fermentierte Kaffee hat Noten von tropischen Früchten und eine spritzige Süße: ein Muss für alle, die auf der Suche nach unseren ausgefallenen Geschmacksprofilen sind!

H1 ist eine Mischung aus Sarchimor und Sudan Rume – einer wilden äthiopischen Varietät, die für ihren außergewöhnlichen Geschmack bekannt ist – und hat echtes Potenzial.

Nach der warmen Fermentation kommt diese Lot mit tropischen Noten von Papaya, Passionsfrucht und Banane richtig zur Geltung. Am Gaumen erinnert die spritzige Süße an Traubensaft oder Kombucha. Freu dich auf eine tiefe Komplexität mit anhaltenden Noten von Kakao und Rosinen, wenn der Kaffee abkühlt.

Complex and funky coffee

I found some notes of shoyu and good quality cocoa beans (nibs). I don't like to drink coffee like this very often, but it is a nice coffee to have for when you want something different.

What an amazing coffee. Fantastic stuff, as always. Im never disappointed with any coffee from The Barn, but this one is especially tasty. I'm a sucker for a funky Anaerobic and this doesn't let ya down. You definitely get those grape soda/ sparkling notes near the end of the cup. I'm looking forward to many more great beans in the future. Many thanks.
