This Obatá is one of Alejo’s most process-driven coffees, with warm anaerobic fermentation creating an intense yet layered profile. Mango and passion fruit lead with vibrant tropical sweetness, followed by rich cherry jam. As the cup develops, darker notes of chocolate emerge alongside a distinctive boozy character from the fermentation. Bold, sweet and unmistakably funky, this is a coffee for those who enjoy adventurous flavour.

Perfect roast, a bit higher but somehow doesn't taste that bitter, just suppresses the sourness expected from a anerobic wash

An odd sour taste

This might be for a specific process, but I tried multiple grinds, and multiple preps, and it just tasted sour, loudly sour, nothing else. I bought a different coffee to check that I wasn't losing my mind.

It's very distinct flavour, I'm sure this is what someones looking for, but personally I didn't like it. I like fruit notes but more like, baked deserts, than unriped fresh.
