This coffee comes with a wonderfully complex cup profile: Dark chocolate and plum. Hazelnuts and a soft, sweet apple acidity support the sweetness. The long-lasting aftertaste will make you think of a fresh Oolong Tea that gives a silky mouthfeel.
The farm “Finca La Reforma” is a family business since it has been founded and established by Manuel Perez in 1904. Today, the farm is managed by Leonardo and his sisters. It is located in one of the most famous coffee growing regions of Guatemala: Huehuetenango. The coffee trees grow at an altitude of more than 2000 masl - close to the Mexican border. It is the warm wind coming from Mexico which allows coffee cultivation at such high altitudes.
