This coffee comes from Cup of Excellence winning farm, Finca Himalaya. Our friend Mauricio Salaverria descends from a long line of coffee producers. He is an expert in the cultivation of Specialty Coffees and has produced a rare Maracaturra for us: a hybrid varietal that carries the big, juicy bean of the Maragogype cultivar and the great taste profile from Caturra.
The beans are honey processed and dried slowly on African beds. This highlights a high level of sweetness and a bright acidity. The cup is sweet and balanced with flavour notes of vanilla, tropical fruits, a refreshing pear acidity and a velvety mouthfeel.
