Jasper is our Head of Production. His first contact with Specialty Coffee was when a friend opened a coffee shop in Leuven and introduced him to a natural Ethiopian filter coffee, which tasted like blueberry jam. "That's when I understood all that coffee could be." He immersed himself in the customer side, brewing and drinking a lot of coffee at home.
It was in Australia, where he started to work as a barista and a coffee shop manager. He also had an experience as a head barista in New Zealand, before moving back to Belgium to roast coffee.
“I like very clean coffees. I’m really into washed African coffees, such as fruity Kenyans, Rwandese and washed Ethiopians”.
