THE BARN CAFÉ KRANZLER

Café Kranzler was founded in 1825 and it is the most recognized coffeehouse in Berlin. With its unique architecture and distinct striped canopy, it is a landmark in West Berlin. In 2016, we were asked to operate Café Kranzler to bring back the international reputation for quality coffee it was once known for.

Our focus at Café Kranzler are Single Origin handbrewed coffees with crystal clear flavours. Behind the bar you will find a La Marzocco PB-X espresso machine, Mythos 2 and EK43 grinders, Nitro Taps, and a slick Marco Brew Bar for our hand brews. From our own kitchen, there is a great selection of homemade sandwiches, cakes and fresh juices, as well as teas. Vegan options are available. The retail shelves are always stocked with freshly roasted beans and our favourite brew equipment.

Hovering with a panoramic view over the busiest boulevard in Berlin, our concept is a place to meet friends, read the paper and to enjoy the atmosphere over a great cup of coffee. The location has free WI-FI. A large balcony and a south-facing rooftop terrace offer plenty of outdoor space in the summer.

Finding Café Kranzler: Located on the second floor, you have two access points: Via the main staircase inside the Superdry Flagship Store - entering from Ku´damm. Or via a corridor to the left of Superdry - which leads you to the side entrance with an elevator to the second floor. This entrance can also be reached via the backyard, which features an aviary containing a flock of birds from Australia.
