With our Specialty Instant Coffee we found a great way of combining convenience and quality - all in a sustainable way. Produced in small batches with compostable packaging, you are skipping waste-driven capsules. All you need is hot water and a cup. Perfect for travel on airlines or trains, in your hotel room or even in the great outdoors. We were very surprised how sweet and clean our Instant Coffee tastes! 

Brew Guide

We recommend brewing at a temperature close to 80°C. That keeps all its delicate flavours intact - plus you can enjoy your coffee immediately at drinking temperature.

Each sachet can be used for either 2 cups of 5oz / 160ml or one large mug. Pour your coffee powder into your cup first, then pour water over it and stir. We recommend enjoying your Instant Coffee within a couple of hours after opening the sachet.

When compared to a hand-brew roast you will notice the instant brew is darker - the reason is that the Instant Coffee was produced with a high dose: From 1kg of roasted beans we produce less sachets than we would produce double shots on our espresso machine. We find that the cup profile is best to compared to a Long Black: A big body with sweet and clean flavours. The softened acidity means that the Instant takes milk well, but we think it’s most delicious without.

Brewing tips 

We recommend brewing our Specialty Instant Coffee at a lower temperature, around 80°C, and to let it cool a little to be really sweet with a good body. If you compare it to a hand brew you can see that the brew colour is a bit darker, which means the coffee ratio is more condensed. We would say the taste experience is more like a long black than a filter brew. Our Instant Coffee is in no way a replacement for a hand brew. However, it is a sweet, clean tasting coffee that by far exceeds any experience we have ever had with instant coffee - or even low grade coffee for that matter, so we highly recommend it.

A whole pouch is comparable to two capsules. We prefer to split one pouch over two cups of 150ml/5oz. This coffee has low acidity and it takes milk well, however we think it’s most delicious without milk.
