Gilberto Baraona has been pushing quality on his farm for the past decade. The farm location between two mountains has ideal sun and wind exposure. Our bourbon microlot has flavours of milk chocolate, pear, stonefruit and pink lemonade. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel.
Gilberto´s processing is state of the art. He is a master of microlots. Most of his coffees are shade grown which produces ideal temperatures for the desired slow ripening of his cherries to produce high sugar content and great flavour complexity. Gilberto has a varietal garden of 66 different varietals. He selected 15 to take into serious production. We are honoured to be roasting Gilbertos coffees year after year.
