Exclusive Daterra Nanolot

Daterra is a leading coffee producer based in Brazil. Known for their Masterpieces and Exclusive Nanolots. Each special lot is fetching very high pricing and often finds its way into Coffee Competitions around the globe.

Laurina is an absolute rarity. The naturally lower caffeine level makes this coffee plant more vulnerable. Laurina tastes absolutely fantastic: rich flavours of plum, raw honey, papaya, chocolate truffle and guava. A malic acidity is giving this coffee depth and structure. In the cooling you will get floral notes and a lingering finish. This cup is of very high quality.

Originally discovered in the 18th century, Laurina almost went extinct due to its delicate nature. Caffeine acts as a protection against coffee plant diseases, which is why this varietal is very hard to grow. Our partners, Daterra, researched it for 12 years before featuring this coffee in their collection. One of their Laurina lots was used by the 2018 Brewers Cup winner.

This roast can be used both for espressos and filter brews. We are very excited to share this special coffee with you!
