Buying Practice


The buying practice of a roastery is the values or parameters they adhere to when sourcing their coffees. We only buy coffees from sustainable farms that embrace Specialty Coffee practices. All our coffees are Single Origin Coffees that score a minimum of 86 points (SCA).

We develop farm relationships with the support of local exporters who have training and financing capacities. We pay up for quality and we never pay less than the previous year. This gives our growers strong certainty on their income. Most of our coffees we buy at a multiple of Fair-Trade pricing - it is never less. We are also involved directly in single sustainability projects at farm level to improve quality of life.
